(Yeah, he's potty trained.)
(I think I'm on Mission 7. Just lost Jorge. Honestly, I like all the characters; the diversity is amazing.)
Sophia moaned a bit, but didn't open her eyes. She was dreaming, it seemed like. She mouthed some words, but they were audible.
- - -
Byron hit the wall again, but he hit the floor running. Or at least trying to run. He stumbled, almost falling, but managed to stay up right as he limped his way down the hall. The masked enigma gave chase, but at a slower pace this time. It was as if he was having fun watching Byron flee.
The street rat turn another corner and found himself at a dead end. When he turned to run the other way, the enigma confronted him; he tilted his head, as if mocking Byron.
Byron slapped the circular device on his vest, causing it to light up with energy. He flexed his hand into a fist, the glove sparking to life again. "Fine, you want a fight!"
He charged, his speed inhuman and his fist draw back. "Then I'll give you a fight!!"
The masked BLOOD simply gave a nod as Byron charged. The enigma's right hand lit up with immediate energy, the hallway walls cracking because of it. With blinding speed, the masked officer attacked, throwing his energy powered fist into Byron's gut once more.
A sudden outtake of breath and a shockwave of energy, Byron was thrown back and right through the wall; right out of the BLOOD tower where he fell rapidly towards the ground. The masked enigma just watched.

(the characters are all amazing...but sometimes, their AIs like killing you off. so you flew the sabre huh? fun times!)
(That's good.)
"Whoops..." Corona said, almost feeling guilty...keyword, almost. However, when Byron came tumbling out, she reverted her glider and got ready for a catch.
Her Glider was in bike form and she had Sophia sitting in front of her, catching Byron on the back as he fell and immediately shooting off and away. "You good?! Then hold on!" A portal was their only option, screw safety, and screw warnings.

(Nah, I haven't flown it yet. I had to turn the game off so I could do hmwk. lol)
Byron groaned, trying to regain his composure. He murmured a few words, but they were incoherent.

(aww, though understandable. its fun! if there was a reason for flying in TI, it was that level. its also probably the easiest on legendary.)
"Am I the only one coherent here?!" Corona growled as she used her second keyblade to open a portal, passing through it and out of the world of New Alpha.
Inside the cooridors, it was cold, dark, and stars flew past faster than warp. A pulsing shield folded over the trio to protect them from any energies. Of course, the faster they got to Roak, the better.
(Is Roak still around or should we just land somewhere out of place?)

(Well I look forward to getting to the conclusion of it. lol)
(Yeah, Roak is still around.)
The smell of Roak is what brought Sophia back into consciousness; her home was still there. She opened her eyes just as the portal spat them out, her home world coming into her sight.
It wasn't the way she had left it. From what she could see, the land seemed scorched in the far distance; the sky was darkened by smoky gray clouds. A burning city lit up the horizon, which only brought tears to Sophia's eyes.
"....N-no."

(let me know how you like it. once i finish Halo CE Anniversary, i need to get back to Star Ocean...i'm kinda up a creak with no healing items and no place to get them. i just fought the phantoms.)
(okiday, that was one of the fun worlds in SO.)
"Hold on." Corona said as she descended towards the world and landed just a few miles outside of Tropp, the sea costal city not exactly untouched but a little out of the way. Once they landed, Corona stepped off and allowed everyone get their footing or just land on their butts. The Glider disappeared off the shores as did her armor.
Her midsection felt a little sticky and she wasn't surprised to find that the General's kick had cut into her skin. A simple healing spell would fix that up. "Everyone alive?"

(I've been stuck playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as of late, I just started playing Reach yesterday actually.)
Sophia jumped off of the Glider before it even landed and ran toward Tropp. She didn't go far before dropping to her knees, tears cascading down her cheeks.
"N-No." She constantly uttered the word, refusing to believe what had really happened to her home.
Byron groaned as he struggled to steady himself on the ground. He smelled flames, the smell of land burning high in the air. Gazing up, he saw the scene for the first time, but then cringed at the pain in his body.
"This is....Roak?"

(I have yet to play any of the COD games. i've been wanting to but i haven't had a chance to grab it.)
"Yeah, unfornately." Corona said as she look over the scene. "We're on the Astralian Continent, near the sea. This is...was, Tropp."
Corona eyes softened at Sophia. She couldn't even apologize for the girl's traumatic events. "...I don't understand..."

(It's the greatest, as of right now. lol)
Byron strained himself to stand, even against the struggle. He managed to get to a standing position, but anyone could tell he wanted to fall back over.
"...What don't you understand?" He asked hypocritically. "This kind of sh*t happens all the time. And no one's here to stop it." He gave a sickening laugh.

(so i've heard, what about battlefield 3?)
"If it was just the heartless, alone, unattended, this world even by its vastness should be consumed by now. They should be walking around this city...they're not." Corona was looking at everything, analyzing the scenario.
"This is controlled chaos." Corona turned away and looked to Byron. "You're about to fall over, boy. Lets get inside one of the houses, we're sitting ducks out here."

(I've heard about it, but I'm a COD kid.)
"Whoever said it wasn't the Heartless? Evolution." Byron struggled to stand, but kept on his feet. "Don't worry about me, little girl. Go and check on Sophia." He said, making his way toward the town.
Sophia had placed her head against the ground, too pained to look up at her world again. Her world, in flames. It was too much to bear.

(Then consider me a Halo kid. lol)
Corona nearly wanted to beat his head in for calling her little. She only sighed and went to Sophia. Hesitantly putting a hand to her back, she gave a little pat.
"Sophia, we need to get some place safer. I know it must hurt. Can you stand?"

(And I can see why. A lot going on in Halo lol)
Sophia was hesitant but nodded. "Ye-yes." She said, standing up slowly and turning around.
By now, Byron had gotten into the city. He allowed himself to fall right onto the first door, causing it to open. He caught himself before falling and expected someone to say something, but the house was deserted.

(From the hints in the terminals...oooooo, i'm so excited for Halo 4. so much story. i adore reading about the Forerunners. they have books too, such a good read. lol)
Corona nodded and escorted Sophia to the house Byron had shown himself to. It was deserted and a little broken up but it had four walls, a roof and nothing was on fire or smoking. It would have to do and she'd had been through worse.
"Lay down before you keel over, Byron." she said as she looked around for anything that could help. The BLOOD had taken all of her stuff. They would have to do with what they had.
"Rest and I'll try to find some food, alright? No use in fighting the way we are now." Corona was acting strong but she was sore.

(I haven't found any terminals. ahah..)
Byron didn't pay Corona any attention, he had been through a lot worse. Tough times were something he welcomed. Sure, he hadn't been through what the Keyblade Wielder had, but he had been through things equally stressful.
Sophia sat quietly near the wall, her legs folded into her chest. She was whimpering quietly, trying to conceal her sobs to show how strong she could be. It wasn't working. Byron made his way over, slumping to the floor heavily and releasing a painful sigh.
"....I'm...sorry, Sophia." Byron murmured painfully. "I hate to say this, but your home world...we were just too late."

(none in halo reach but seven in halo 3 and seven in halo ce anniversary. they give more backstory into the flood and forerunner war.)
Corona heard what Byron said and wanted to say it wasn't over yet but would that be false hope? Would it be cruel? She saw the destruction outside but the world itself was still here. And Roak was vast...no plan was perfect.
She found what food she could find in the kitchen, setting it in two bowls as she pulled up her shirt to look at the cut. It was healed but it would scar...like always.
"...better late than never, though." Corona said as she came back with the food. Just fruit, bread, and vegetables.

(Just beat Reach last night. Pretty dramatic ending, but it revealed a lot.)
"Words of a true Keybearer." Byron retorted with disgust.
Sophia shuffled her feet just a bit. "Could...could they really do something like this?"
"I wouldn't put it past BLOOD." Byron said grimly, eyes narrowed. "Depends on what the rest of this world looks like though. They might of just focused here..."
Sophia still didn't like it. She didn't leave anywhere near Tropp, yet it was still pretty banged up. "I see..."
"I didn't see any corpses outside...makes me wonder if BLOOD captured everyone." Byron said, trying to think. He hadn't seen any Fellpools in the BLOOD cell areas.

(Didn't it? I love prequels and Reach has to be one of my favorites. now...try it on legendary. its actually not that hard, no Flood to worry about. any favorite levels?)
"Captured or turned to Heartless." Corona said. "When the heartless invade a world, they began devouring the hearts of the citizens. The body of said person disappears once their heart is gone. That can form a Nobody but those usually appear in Twilight Town."
"Then they start devouring the world itself, breaking each layer until they reach the Heart of the World. Once that's consumed, the world itself is consumed. I see nothing like that yet...this has to be controlled by something other than an intelligeant heartless."
"Sophia, do you remember where you saw the heartless exactly? Or reports of where before the attack?"

(The last two levels, but I enjoyed the entire game.)
"Then it doesn't seem like it was Heartless at all..." Byron said more to himself than to the others.
Sophia tried to think back. "In Kraat...My home. It's a small village."

"If its alright...once we're reouperated, we'll head there. Looking for clues..." Corona sneered at her words. "Hearts, that sounded ridiculous."
(Lone Wolf and Piller of Autumn right? fun. except Emile's friggin useless in the second one. he got thrown off the edge by a Hunter when i was doing legendary...lol have you tried firefight?)
