"I thought I told you two to shut up." Byron responded, the ship rumbling to life. He was surprised such a horrid machine was still actually capable of movement.
Peering out the window, he could see some of the security guards running toward the ship. The alarm sounded only a second later and someone managed to shout that they had found two dead bodies somewhere in the facility. It wasn't good; weapons were being drawn and orders were being issued already. Byron was pretty sure he heard someone say "get BLOOD over here now!"
The engines ignited to life, scorching the tiled floor as the energy forced the Gummi Ship to begin moving. Byron leaned forward and pressed a few commands, initiated the manual weapons system. He fired at the wall and blew a hole in it, the explosion rocking the building. The engines flared and boosted the ship out of the Remit Station, leaving it up to Byron to direct the ship right into space.
Sophia flew out of her seat and hit the wall. "Hey! Control this thing!"
"I said shut up." Byron was already looking around frantically. "Not a d**n Warp button? What age was this d**n thing built in." He got Sophia's and Corona's attention. "Keep an eye out for BLOOD Space Fighters; they might come after us before we can break orbit."

"Probably circa Peace and Love." Corona said with a roll of her eyes as they began to head into the atmosphere. She did as she was told and watched for space fighters, debating somewhat if she wanted to acually go out there and give them a taste of her own flying or just do some magic from here.
Seeing one nearby, she hopped up from her seat and prepared to shoot out a blizzard spell if it attacked. It was space, it was cold, and her magic would work just fine.
"In space, no one can hear you scream."

"Lovely information, but we can do without. How about you put your fancy Key to work and shoot them down before they have a chance to get us in their sights?" Byron grumbled from the front. "It'll be more efficient to go through space with a ship intact."

"So you want me to shoot some people who haven't shot us yet?" Corona asked.
"Fine, your wish is my command but their blood is on your hands." She retracted her hand and summoned her Keyblade. It was long and thin, meant for reach and sharpness. The blade was transculsent with a swirl of blue rising up the blade and to the teeth that were in a picture of slightly opening heart colored electrum. The handle and hilt had the same transcluesent wings but only on one side, the keychain silver with a golden heart at the end.
"A Scattered Dream, that's its name." Corona sput it around and then it was stabbed through a portal, making a makeshift cannon port.
"Blizzard!" Three bright icicles rushed out from the ship and towards the space fighters, hitting and freezing their engines, making them immobile and shorting out the circuts. Some of the icicles piercing the air tight capsules and soon, the entire space fighter was frozen and lifeless.
"We've got our hole. Punch it."

"Good. Better than your kind spilling anymore blood." Byron said, pushing the engines to one hundred percent and sending the ship into space.
Sophia managed to get into a seat and buckle down before that, and was ready for the trip into deep space. She watched as the frozen ship drifted into the distance; and New Alpha along with it.
The Lesser Fellpool took a quick note of the the Keyblade looked like and found she couldn't keep her mouth shut. "That's a Keyblade?"
"Hardly a weapon of honor." Byron kept his eyes forward. "A Key that can unlock and lock any lock, whether it be a door, a shield, anything. Helps enhance one's magical abilities, if they so possess them. And..."
"...Resembles the heart of it's wielder in weapon form." He finished the words rather quietly.
Sophia was even more interested in learning about it. She looked to Corona. "Is that true? That's your heart?"

That comment seemed to chill Corona as she brought it around and held it in her hands and looked upon it. "Yes...it is. So clear but tainted with colors but shines like glass...but like glass." She dropped it but it disappeared in a flurry of sparks.
"...can be easily broken." Corona sat back down as the stars drifted past, quietly. "You see something different?"

"Then why fight with it if it can be easily broken?" Sophia asked. "Isn't that more dangerous?"
Byron spun around in his seat slowly. "Why were you chosen? I find it hard to believe that anyone can be chosen nowadays. No one seems worthy, yet you have a Keyblade. It should be in more...capable hands."
Sophia turned to look at the young man. "Like...yours?" She asked, curious.
The dark skinned young male shook his head. "No, I never said I was worthy. I don't even want the d*mn thing. I'm not separating myself from the rest of the universe who have all gone straight to a mentality of hellish ways since the Glory Years." He sighed, looking out the window. "All those worthy are dead."

The Keybearer's eyes didn't hide the hurt of the insult but she didn't try to fight against it. She agreed with Byron. She looked outside, thinking about the question of worthiness. "I don't know why I was chosen but I was. As long as I can summon it, it seems me worthy. Worthy of what? Hell if I know."
"To answer your question, Sophia, I don't usually fight with it." Corona added. "If the whole measure of my worth is a giant key then I'd rather not use it. I'd rather earn my worth by other actions. Actions others can attain by normal people."
"...but in the end, we're all hypocrites."

"At some point, or another." Byron twirled his seat back around, turning his back to the other two on the ship.
Sophia was caught up in her own thoughts for a second or two. "Sounds...sounds like you're trying to protect your heart." She looked up quickly, wishing not to often Corona. "I didn't mean it to offend you. You just said it was like glass and it's fragile, and-"
The ship rocked, almost throwing Sophia out of her chair. Byron had to grab onto the console to steady himself enough to look at the scanners; they were being followed. Four BLOOD ships were tailing them, the closest having opened fire on their stolen ship.
"Sh*t!" Byron cursed, grabbing the controls and trying to steer the ship out of the firing range; there was no hope for such evasiveness.
"Attention! Attention!! Hijackers of the Highwind V. 3, please decrease acceleration and come to a stop!!"
"Give me a break." Byron murmured to himself, steering the ship to the right in order to dodge another array of rounds. "They're actually trying to act civilized toward thieves? This is a surprise."
The ship rocked again, several times in a row as the shouts pounded the rear and side of the ship. Flashing red lights began to shine on and off; an alarm began to blare loudly.
"This is not good. Not good at all." Byron directed the ship toward the nearest world, which wasn't too far off. The ships followed but had to prepared to enter the atmosphere; they were forced to decrease speed. The Highwind went in full speed, the hull of the ship heating up as it passed through the atmosphere.
"Grab onto something and hold on tight!" Byron yelled.

"You needn't worry." Corona said before standing up, trying to stay grounded as the ship shook.
"Civilized? This is civilized? Wonderland is more civil than them." Corona said as she summoned her keyblade again in a flurry of sparks. She did the same thing before and used Reflect, shielding them from the blows as she grabbed onto her seat.
"I'll hold them off. Doesn't this thing have a warp gummi or am I going to have to open a cooridor?!"

"I mentioned before that it couldn't warp, didn't I?" Byron was managing to keep his cool while keeping the ship as steady as possible.
The Reflect spell reduced some of the damage, but the ships were managing to break through it. Despite the ancient power a Keyblade represented, technology had found a way to bypass it in many ways.
Byron was almost grateful that the BLOOD ships were hesitant to follow them into the atmosphere...almost. The bridge room began to heat up and emergency coolants were released, trying to sooth the savage wave of heat before it got too bad. Below, the surface was coming in fast; at the rate they were going, they were going to die upon impact.
Byron pulled up on the steering controls, his muscles flexing as he tried his best to overpower them and control the ship.
"Brace yourselves!!!" He yelled, as they crashed into the surface, crashing hard into the soil and causing it to spew up into the air. The ship bounced, traveling nearly three miles before it came to a full stop.

"No! You said you couldn't find a warp button!" Corona said as she came over and growled. She had used Reflect but was thrown from her position. She couldn't drive but she could do something else.
"Out of my way." She summoned her keyblade and then stabbed the console and then turned it, the hilt lighting up alongside the old console.
'Time to get creative.'
On the outside, the ship was smoking but overall intact with a leak in little places. Smoking, bent, damaged...but not for long. Then it began to hum, lines of magic running up and down the sides.

"What the f*ck do you think you're doing!" Byron hurried to his feet and ran to Corona, trying to push her away from the console. But it was already too late.
Sophia had been thrown from her chair and had hit her head on the wall, and was only now beginning to move. She was near losing consciousness.
"What did you do?" Byron asked, seeing the glows of magic shimmer along the walls of the bridge room.

"I making this ship a giant keyblade glider." Corona said as she moved Byron away yet kept her hand gripped. "Stay back."
The lines of magic seemed to grasp at the ship, slowly pulsing as Corona kept even breaths. The pulsing got faster and stronger before her keyblade melted into the console but she kept her hand on the location it had been. Out of reflex, she did grab at her shirt as the keyblade melded with the ship.
The wings grew and were solid gold, the hull becoming like a diamond, and a cerulean covering over the rusted ship. The engines sparked but an extra engine, just made sparked with bright yellow light.
"Now this, I can drive." Corona said as she saw the hilt rise back up and she grabbed it once more. Turning it like a car key, the engines started once more.

The ship shook with a new life, before it shook all too violently. Looking outside, Byron could see a red net-like contraption fall around the ship. Though magic powered the ship, the ship was somehow powered off.
"What the....?" Byron caught sight of the BLOOD officers lining up outside of the ship, guns loaded and readied to be fired.

"Hey Byron, remember when you said my keyblade is a representation of my heart in weapon form?" Corona asked. "Time to see how powerful my heart really is."
The ship was powered down and this power was attacking her invasively. And there was no way she wasn't going to fight back. She turned the keyblade again in its socket and the weapons built in...or just made, warmed up.
"Reflect!" The green shield burst to life around the ship, like an electromagnetic pulse and then the weapons, cannon, came up and started stooting the net with massive blizzard spells.
"I'm not going to be held down like a trapped animal!"

The bridge room windshield cracked as the the blizzard spells were sent off. The net kept up it's job, holding the ship down. Outside, another BLOOD member shot at the windshield and broke through. A red blur followed.
Byron had no time to react. He felt the air being forced out of him by a blow to the midsection, as well as three hits to his upper chest and one in the face. He was blasted back into the closest wall, landing right beside Sophia.
The red blur went for Corona next, with just as much speed. It attacked her from the back, delivering several blows and forcing her to release her Keyblade. At some point, it grabbed the girl and tossed her back into one of the other walls, making her slump to the floor just like the rest of the crew.
The blur was now stationary, standing among them in a red mask. He, or she, wore nothing but black and red garments, which showed their alliance to BLOOD. It seemed like only seconds after they got to glance at the intruder did the doors open and two squadrons of BLOOD officers piled inside.
"It's unfortunate you actually thought you could break into my facility and break out, and not think we'd pursue you." One of the last officers to enter was the very same one at the Public Demonstration on New Alpha; the armored fellow. "A young Fellpool, a street rat, and...oh my, a Wielder of the Keyblade. This is certainly a surprise I was not expecting. But, nowadays, they're nothing more than mere swordsman."

Corona spat out like she just tasted her own insult. "Swordsmen alone shouldn't be underestimated, bastard."
BLOOD up close were intimidating but her stare remained fixed into a glare and ready to fight or flight.

"Oh no, young Keybearer, we'd be fools to underestimate the likes of you. I came overly prepared to deal with you all." The armored figure walked over to Sophia and knelt down, raising her head up. "And my little princess, you'll be able to bypass all of the...consequences we have for them."
Sophia shook her head away from the figure, glaring at him. "Don't touch me!" She was careful not to raise her hand at him; she had seen one of the other captives be hit brutally before.
"You BLOOD scum." Byron spat, almost ready to lunge. Three gun barrels in his face made him rethink his decision.
"Says the street rat." The armored figure straightened his posture. "Byron, you haven't change a bit...other than financially. Now you're actually lending a helping hand. Since when have you ever had a heart?" He turned away from Byron's gaze. "Arrest these three and ready this ship for transport back to New Alpha."

Corona kept her glare but when he eferred to Sophia as a princess, that made her mind go into overdrive.
"Princess?! What the hell do you mean by princess?" Corona snapped out as the BLOOD's began to arrest her.
(Where do Fellpools come from? is it something you made up or something from a game or show?)
