"A wise choice and unique. I have no doubt anyone from the 42nd Battilion or otherwise would say offense." Errisin said. "I prefer long ranged lasers, short bursts of energy but I am well adept with a sword-"
"You can all talk later!" Everyone assembled and at attention, Adelo appeared, another gentleman by his side. "Okay, first we're going to give you a short tour around base. You'll also be seeing the mothership of our squadron as well as completed POWERS. Afterwards, lunch and you change into your uniforms for a full day of training with Sergeant Major Reuban here."
Nephilim knew the others were getting used to the idea of training but if she knew Reuban...he was a different kind of brutal.
"We clear? Good. Then follow me." Adelo said, heading outside and towards the shipyards.

Nephilim was happy to see her training base still the same. They went past the gyms, infirmeries, meeting rooms, and the like before going to the outside shipdocks, a few ships either taking off or landing, water being sprayed a few times.
"The Pearl Gates Protocol." Adelo started. "That is the protocol designed by Admiral Peter when ships were leaving systems and returning to Hyperion. It requires all ships to land and dock here in New Talos to be searched, probed, and inspected before landing at Vanasha. Vanasha is humanity's head quarters, our main planet of civilization. We will not bring anything that might harm us there."
Nephilim knew the protocol well, what she didn't quite expect when she was repeating it to herself that Adelo said the same thing Rapheal said word for word.
"Clear? Now, to the garage." Adelo continued t lead the ten to a large steel garage located on the water and aside from everything else. He punched in a code, place his palm on a scanner and did a retina scan before the doors opened. "Step inside carefully."
The room was completely black but by the way their footsteps echoed against the other and the sound of water flowing, the room had to be at least ten football field long. The doors locked behind them and they all stood together as the lights came on.
"The Yggdrasil..." one of the pilot's muttered.
"The Tree of Life." Nephilim added softly, choking back tears as she saw the ship in its newborn glory. Last she saw it, it had been blown into two pieces and scatters over the plains.
She took up the entire length of the garage with the bow curved like a broadsword and spreading wider to accomadate wigs, missile ports, engines, and the like. Strentching as high as a twenty five story building at the peak, it was hard to believe a frigate could be so elegant. The top side stayed pretty level until you got to the bridge located just above docking station 10 but the belly of this beast came down and long like a whale to handle two docking stations and the hanger. Two front wings curved around, holding a docking station each with two smaller and lower ones near the back where tail wing provided sheilds to the massive core engines, four of them in all alongside six smaller ones.
"..its good to see her again." Nephilim muttered.
Adelo looked at the group and smiled. "This...is your flagship, your home until we find Earth. She's still going over some smaller modifications before the maiden voyage but she already boasts the largest Aether Warp Engine ever made and the only ship to have her squadron dock on parts of her body. There is the number 10 dock just in front and below the bridge up there." Adelo said as he pointed. "Whose number 10?"
Nephilim raised her hand. "Private Van, that is where your ship will dock. Does anyone else see anymore docking stations?"

"I think I see one on the side." Fanix pointed out, looking to the others. "How long did it take to build this ship?"

"Five years and most of the engineers, if not all of them, will be on board. Those of you who ave yet to build your POWER will work with a small team from that group and they will be your personal pit crew, the rest probably aleady have a crew but if they're willing, they can take on multiple ships." Adelo answered. "As for one on the side, yes. On the left starboard wing is actually your docking station, Private Blaze."
"Memorize your locations because when not in formation, you will be giving support to the main ship. For example...Blaze, you have a POWER, the Honorable Angel, tell us its weapon details and any special systems."
Nephilim glanced over along with everyone else, all eyes on Fanix. It was both in curiosity and if the boy could answer.

"The Honorable Angel is built for defense. It's armor is constructed out of a metal native only to New Talos, it's known as Crescent Taloian, and it's found in the bottom of the deepest Talosian ocean." Fanix sounded pretty sure of himself, he had looked over his ship's blueprints several times.
The young Private shifted his footing, thinking back. "Three standard cannons, one on each side and one on the bottom, and their accompanied by several lasers on either side. There is also a cloaking device that works best when the Honorable Angel is stationary. I'm also constructing a Particle Disrupter Cannon, but it's still in the works." Fanix looked toward his docking area. "Special systems include Thermal Scan, Standard Cloak Detection, Autopilot and Auto-Weaponry, and the latest Navigation System. Advanced shielding and Squad Shielding as well."

"Very good." Adelo said. "Can anyone by Blaze's summery come up with his mission details when not in formation?"
Nephilim answered first.
"Extra defense to the left side of the Yggdrasil, probably to any of the extra turrents, missile pods, and engines close to the front wing. Even the bridge if you think about it. The Cloak Detection and Thermals help detect enemies on the left side of the ship and his cannon and lasers can take them out before they can either board or cause damage to the left side." Nephilim said. "And if Private Blaze does get his PDC working, its an added cannon that can have equal power to the main cannons but probably won't need to charge as long or have different timings since its the pilot, not the bridge firing the cannon."
"Good. In simple terms, Private Van is saying that Private Blaze's job is to have the left flank covered." Adelo said. "And she is correct about the bridge. 10, 8, and 7 will have priority to frontside weapons, shields, and the bridge. The lowers docking stations, 9, 6 and 1 have priority to the underside previously mentioned and the main engines on the backside of the ship. The rest is to the sides and top of the ship, being our eyes all around."
Adelo then pressed a button on a console, a ladder rolling over and locking to align with the ship's many doors. "Lets get onboard and take a tour. You'll have time to memorize the layout."

Fanix nodded and did so, being one of the first on board.
"Wow, this is amazing."

"You're currently on the middle deck or Deck 2. There are three main decks, number one is on top and number three is below with subdecks in between." Adelo said. He pressed a holo panel and guided everyone towards it, showing a 3D image of the ship and roman numerals for the POWERS locations. As he spoke, areas lit up.
"The Bridge lies on the top deck right above IX dock; medical bay lies on middle deck in between III and II; extra vehicles or ships, including a repair area for the space fighters lie in the lower deck behind dock VI. There are ten armories, one for each ship’s dock, alongside two, large supplied armories on the middle deck sides from III to VIII and II to VII. They hold arms for the ships and soldiers ranging from guns, projectiles, bombs, blades, etc; the cafeteria is located on the top deck between II and IV."
He waited a few minutes to let them look at it and digest it before a few direct cooridors lit up. "These cooridors are direct paths to your ships. If you are called to launch and you're at the other end, these will get you to the other end as fast as possible. Its either a slide like slope or a swing that you'll need to hold onto. There are plenty thrughout the ship and will be marked with a POWERS symbol."
"Any questions so far?"

Fanix walked over to his corridor. "Now this is cool. Never heard of such a method." He said, glancing back. "When's the training start?"

Reuban heard Fanix's question but it was Errisin who answered before their drill sergeant did. "After this..." Errisin's words were something of a warning.
"Remembering the good old days, Erri?" Reuban mocked.
Errisin narrowed his eyes. "Of course I enjoyed my days in hell very much, devil." They laughed before Adelo answered a few more questions. They would have time to fully explore the ship but right now, it was just the maps and the completed POWERS.
Stepping off, they headed to an elevator that went below the surface, windows showing the ocean life. Fish and jellies swam past, even the call of a whale could be heard. Stopping about six levels down was a large workshop, tools being run and machines doing their part.
They stepped to a balcony and one of the female pilots, having black hair neatly put up, looked towards a dark violet ship that had the elegance of swift flight but hiding armaments deadlier than could be imagined. "There's Wisdom."
Awes were heard as they looked to the completed powers each standing on a platform with the base structures of them off to the side. Five were complete and customized or being altered and five still needed names, weapons, and designs to them.
"These are the POWERS." Adelo said.

Fanix only shook his head for the lack of skill in name-calling. Whatever warning Errisin wanted to give went in one ear and out the other with the young Blaze. He pocketed his hands and followed.
The Private could see his POWER from where he stood and smiled at it. He had already done several test runs with it, just to see what changes he needed to make personally. Other than that, the crew usually took care of it.

"Which one is your's, Fanix?" Itani asked.
Nephilim recognized the five completed ones. The Wise Ruler, the Steady Angel, the Seraphic Crown, and Morning Glory but not Fanix's ship which she assumed by it being different from its previous incarnation Adelo piloted. Back then, it was called the Angel of Honor.
"How different..." Nephilim muttered as she looked to the five empty shells and skeletons of POWERS. The were marked on whose was whose, her soon to be Soul Seeker marked with number ten.
She already knew what she wanted and what she'd add.
"During training, you will each be paired with one of the wisened pilots to figure out your strengths and weaknesses in a virtual simulation." Adelo said. "Once all the numbers are in, we'll start building."

"There, near the back." Fanix pointed.
His ship was nothing special. It was one of the more bulky ships and it didn't look like it had much speed on it. The cerulean armor was currently being painted over with gold, silver and black.
Fanix glanced over. "Should be fun, getting to fly it again."

"Nice ride, Fanix." Josh said. "...mine will be better though." It was a teasing challenge, one that got his shoulder punched for it.
"So one of those skeletons will be our's." Kat muttered. "I'm excited."
"Same here." Nephilim added.
"Alright, pilots." Adelo started. "This is where the tour ends. You have fourty five minutes before training. Go back to your rooms and there will be a black uniform you are required to wear. It will be color coded after training. Put it on and head to the caferteria for lunch and then report to Reuban at the front of the Yggdrasil's hanger. Get going. Dismissed"
Nephilim nudged Itani, doing what she did bak then. "Race yah." The time traveler then bolted for the elevator, Itani shouting to wait up.

Fanix reached into his pocket and retrieved his cellular device, dialing up Tiffany's number using speed dial.
"Hey, Tiff. You and Robby meet me in the cafeteria, alright?" He said, talking into the phone. "I've got about 45 minutes to goof off." He frowned at the response. "Will you just meet me there, d**n." He hung up and pocketed it, heading for the elevator.

Kat was follwing along but as the elevator opened and most of them resumed their race, she snapped to nearly attention.
"Dammit! Adelo forgot to tell them their physicals are after training and I still have to get the appointments in-d**n, d**n, d**n-" Kat raced towards another location on base. She was going to be their personal physician on the Yggdrasil.
Nephilim had gotten outside and into her room, hearing Itani curse half way to Tuesday as her doors locked and her knee started throbbing. "Wrong shoes to wear...dammit..." she muttered as she went to the closet.
Their uniform was going to be only for the pilots and would be color coded and altered a bit after training. It was the ame thing she remembered before.
It was a turtleneck, black, with a zipper up the middle and velcro keeping it secure to the wearer. There were elastic belts on the sides of the top and shoulderpads that had rank, their badges on an armband securely on the sleeves. Black pants with magnet attracted side holsters that would lock in weapons with pockets underneath. The boots reached her knees while males had their's just above their ankle. It was a pressure rised suit so they could make it tight or baggy. It was waterproof, bullet proof, and fire proof and had a few lights, transponder, and a life support system that was powered by a small backpack between the shoulder blades, marked with a number.
The badges she had to put on were self explanatory. Her rank as a Private, the Sephirot Squad name tag with her number in roman number form, and the Inheritor's of Earth Military symbol. It was a golden triangle with a blue background, three circles on it, one was the golden sun, Sol, the silver moon, Luna, and their missing gem, Earth.
She slipped it on with no trouble, pressurising it so it was a little baggy but still tight and looked herslef in the mirror.
"...what pain has caused me to change so vividly that the child has been turned into a woman by it and it alone?"
Her hair cascaded down and covered her eyes, her skin was pale and she looked not as plump as she was before. She could easily see the person in the mirror had gone through something traumatic.
Now she had to keep it secret to save everyone she cared about.
"Neph! Hurry up!" Josh called from behind the door, Nephilim sighing as she walked out.

Fanix didn't take long to get into his designated uniform. He didn't like it personally, but he'd deal. He was already on his way down the hall, Robby, the male he had met up with before, standing at the end with Tiffany.
"Look at you looking cute." The words came from Robby, the muscular man with dreads grinning. He was wearing black Underarmor with a pair of slacks and some boots.
Fanix frowned. "Whatever man. Let's get some lunch before they work me to death."

"That's the understatment of the century." Nephilim said under her breath when she caught Fanix's words.
Itani had her suit on as did Josh, messing with the collar and his boots. "What is this made out of?" he asked as they walked down towards the caferteria.
"Some kind of jersey designed for space travel." Itani replied. "Says so on the label."
"No one reads those labels, love." Josh added. Itani just waved him off to look at Nephilim who was putting her long hair in a ponytail. "You got a new knee brace."
"Adelo's been around us since we could walk." Nephilim said. "I'm not surprised I got one since I either need it or Kat will force the medical personel to get me one." The trio continued smiling and laughing as they got to the cafeteria, already full with other militants. Nephilim heard Josh saying he wanted to hurry and get in line but she had to just take it in.
It's all really happening again. I'm really here.

"How's the cannon looking?" Fanix said as the trio got into line; he was asking Robby.
Robby folded his arms across his broad chest. "It's looking good, seeing as how we've only been working on it a month. It's getting along farther than I would of thought."
"How long until it's working?" Tiffany moved ahead of Fanix and got a tray, earning a glare from the young man.
"A few more weeks, seven tops." Robby said, with all honesty. He gave Fanix a look that kept the boy from speaking. "And no rushing. It takes time to get this right. I'm going to need you to look over some things after this training."
"I wasn't going to say anything." Fanix lied with a smile. "But checking over things after this training...eh, doesn't sound so good, Rob."
"Nonsense, you'll do fine." Robby gave Fanix a hard pat on the back, almost causing the Private to drop his tray. He picked one up for himself. "You've already got the instincts and reaction times of one of those assassin androids, you'll be good."
"Yeah, a malfunctioning assassin droid." Tiffany mumbled before laughing aloud.
"Hardy Har Har." Fanix flipped his middle finger at her as they followed her to a table to sit.
